This is being done on the Primo 2000 gas/ceramic grill.
The 2000 has 2 burners (high temp - low temp) and for
this we used the right side (low temp) burner on MED. That gave a
dome temperature of 350-360 deg.
In the picture you can see the chicken in a lined drip pan and the
chicken in a standard V-rack. Cooked at 350-360
for 2 hrs or until you reach 165 in the breast or 175 in
the thigh.
The Primo 2000 does a wonderful job on chicken. Even
moister than off of the Primo Kamado cooker - and that is
saying alot. The Primo 2000 is even more enclosed so
very little airflow through the cooker leaves the moisture in the
cooker so your meal stays moister. No smoke taste at all either. You
can add wood or lump charcoal to add some smoke taste if you prefer.
