- Add seasonings, pepper, salt to taste
- I coat the skin with olive oil to make it brown
This was my 1st turkey breast on the Oval. The way it allows
indirect cooking is wonderful and makes an easy job even easier!
The oval was set up with the fire on the left side of the firebox
and a lower drip grid was placed on the right side with some aluminum
foil (this is the drip pan). The breast was seasoned and placed in
the V Rack on the grid.
375° dome temp for 2 hrs did the
job very well. I pulled the breast when the internal temp was
162° and it was just perfectly done. The Oval makes indirect
cooking much easier, I hardly had to do anything. I rotated the whole
V Rack after 1 hr because the side nearest the fire does seem to cook
a bit faster.
Enjoy
