I was one of the first Primo Oval owners. Mine even has my K.O.C. initials made into the lid before it was glazed and baked. I am still as proud of my Oval as a puppy would be if he had 2,,, uhhh,, well, lower appendages. I average cooking on it twice a week and during the summer, that average goes up to three times that. I have owned it for just under a year and have ran 5 or 6 large bags of natural lump charcoal through it.

I started years ago with another brand of ceramic smoker/grills and it was perfect. Then George and his Primo came along. Well George listened to us (his customers) and immediately went to work on developing a larger size than the standard round model with improvements that were suggested. He came up with the Oval and started a list of people interested in something that large. I don't know who's name went on the list first, but while that thread was on top of the Primo Grill Forum, I saw it and immediately put my name on it.

When it got it, it was breathtaking. It was better than my week stay at the PlayBoy Mansion with Hef and the girls. Well, if I knew Hef and had of stayed there, the Primo Oval would have probably ranked right up there with it. It was beautiful,,, it worked like a dream,, and I can now cook for a large group of guests with one batch without having to cook several batches one behind the other.

Bottom line,,, it is not only as good as any ceramic grill on the market, but it is bigger and better. There is a grate system that goes with it that will allow three levels of food to be cooked. The firebox has a cast-iron divider so for smaller cooking chores, you can use a normal size charcoal load, plus an added feature to that is, you can cook on the opposite side of your coals for a great offset option.

George listens to us. Everyone's input is important to George. Like he said to me, he is not building grills for himself, he is making them for us. While visiting his plant in Atlanta, we shared coffee, and cigars while I sampled one of his Boston Butt slow cooked roast and toured his manufacturing site. Yes, Primo Grills are "Made in the U.S.A." and it just so happens that the owner of the company loves to meet his customers and not only is he the C.E.O., he is the chief quality control officer too. And if there is a problem with anything George makes (which can happen occasionally with all ceramic grills), you can count on it being corrected as soon as you let him know. His "Life-Time Warranty" is heads and shoulders above those of other ceramic grill manufacturers. Hell, he will even bring you replacement items to you personally as he passes through your area when on one of his cross country treks as he visits his many outlets. He is also working hard to develop a firebox that will be unrivaled in the ceramic grill industry. What a great company.

Since switching to Primo a few years back, I have not regretted it. What a machine! What a company! Thanks Primo and special thanks to George.
